Synopsis: Harriet is shown into a drab, anonymous waiting room which might be a prelude to anything. After a few moments Paul is also shown in. They fall into a desultory conversation. Harriet is sure she has seen him somewhere before. A remark of his suddenly opens up her memory. For his part,he tells her he has known her from the moment he entered the room. Though hatred is the natural emotion between them, the strange reason for their meeting forms a sort of bond,and understanding as they leave together.
