Fresh from victory in a bloody war, Macbeth is told a series of prophesies, culminating in him being crowned king of Scotland. These prophesies set him down a dark and murderous path, fuelled by treachery, paranoia, and ambition.
Beyond The Horizon's reputation for visceral, uncompromising theatre melds perfectly with Shakespeare's psychological masterpiece. Towers are replaced with threadbare scaffolding; swords replaced with rusty pipes; the dead appear before your very eyes. An overpowering adaptation that will have audiences on the edge of their seat.
All actors to be paid at £60 per performance, plus 5% of total profits from the production at the end of the tour.
