Claire has a rare form of psychogenic amnesia that erases her memory whenever she goes to sleep. Claire awakens each morning as a blank slate on which her husband and teenage son must imprint the facts of her life. One morning a limping, lisping man in a ski mask, pops out from under her bed and claims to be her brother, there to save her. They head toward Claire's childhood home, where her mother, Gertie, is aching to reveal the secrets of her past -- if only she could understand Gertie's stroke-afflicted speech patterns. It gets even more complicated when very unusual guests stop by! Every twist and turn in this funhouse plot brings Claire closer to revealing her past life and everything she thought she'd forgotten. The audience views the ensuing mayhem through the kaleidoscope of Claire's world. The play culminates in a cacophony of revelations, proving that everything is not what it appears to be.
