Mary Poppins, the practically perfect in every way nanny to the Banks family, along with Bert the chimney sweep, shows Jane and Michael how to love one another and their family and the power of imagination in this colorful, high-flying, family friendly musical in the heart of Disney!
Singing: Seeking all experience levels; particularly those with "musical theater" vocal and harmonic abilities to play leading, supporting, featured and cameo characters. The ensemble will consist of anyone willing to try. There are also parts for those who cannot sing.
To prepare: Please bring your song via track (i.e. cd, mp3 player, Spotify, YouTube, etc.). Your song should be a standard Broadway show tune in the correct key for your voice. Songs in a similar style/era of musical theater are encouraged; however, please DO NOT use a song from the show. Come prepared to sing the entire song, though we may stop you before the end of your song.
Choreography: those with any/all levels of experience are encouraged to audition; however, those with tap skills are especially needed. The most important quality we are looking for is a "never-say-die" willingness to learn.
To prepare: Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes and warm up before auditions begin.
Acting: There will be cold reading from the script and acting exercises. If you would like to prepare a monologue, you may, though it is not required.
