Evita is a pop opera, with almost no spoken dialogue.
We will be arranging the sound along the lines of the original concept album which has a strong rock feel, and we are looking for a strong ensemble with pop/rock roots.
The singing ranges for the leads are broad and emotionally strenuous. The ensemble is an integral part of the show, and some or all are involved in almost every number of the piece.
Be prepared to sing 18 bars from an appropriate pop/rock musical with accompaniment.
Something from Evita would be fine, but not required. (An accompanist will be provided, please have your music marked and ready to go.)
Also be prepared for a short dance audition following the singing.
