Looking for drummer, bassist, guitarist, singer, banjo player.
Been trying to start a band for the past couple months. I started a group called The Ragtags with my roommates last year. We recorded a three song demo over x-mas time and only played a handful of gigs, but now they've all moved on. I'm on my own and wanting to push this "group" to the next level. So what I'm looking for is a drummer, bass player, another singer/guitar player, and possibly a banjo or violin player to fill out the sound. I have four fully completed originals and at least four or five more in the works, along with a few covers. I'd say my sound is acoustic blues rock with a little folk influences mixed in, I mainly play the acoustic guitar, but starting to play the electric again since I recently got it fixed. I'm open to all influences and styles, I love almost all kinds of music. But my main influences would have to be The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Neil Young, Bob Seger, The Allman Bros., The Black Keys, Mumford and Sons (they're new and they're fuckin' awesome!) I could go on but you get the point. I'm just lookin' to have some fun and work towards playin' some gigs and from there who knows. I've grown increasingly addicted to performing (although a bit inexperienced) and I feel I really need to make this band happen.
